Family and friends were deeply saddened when Laetitia's father passed away in mid-February after a few months of severe illness. An intellectually tenacious and profoundly learned academic with a long and distinguished legal career, 'Prof' (as we affectionately knew him) had beaten the odds after a triple bypass more than ten years ago. He'd been enjoying a peaceful retirement in East London, South Africa, until a sudden decline in health towards the end of 2004.

Laetitia flew back home with her brother Philip to be with their mother Ethel. They would like to thank everyone who's sent messages of support and condolence.
