AUGUST & SEPTEMBER. My Dad makes his first summertime visit to the UK, we buy another car and use it for a very rainy weekend tour of Devon and Cornwall where we visit Tintagel (closely linked with the legendary King Arthur's Camelot) and stay in the flood-ravaged port village of Boscastle (see a huge page of flood photos here). Laetitia gets back onto the study trail again while I make my first visit to Ireland, and friends visit us from Germany. To add to everything, I get back onto radio again. |

JUNE & JULY. L spends the month visiting friends and family back in South Africa while I continue to hold the fort (and sort out the laundry) in Bristol. Dartmoor, Plymouth and London feature on my itinerary for this month...as does a little promotion which boosts the hard-earned. Go to the page... |

MAY. As the weather improves and summer looms, we start to appreciate having our own private park. The sunnier weekends spurs another trip to the tank museum in Devon, this time for a day out to see the world's only operating Tiger tank. More here... |

APRIL. We move to a bigger place in an area that's apparently Bristol's best-kept secret, Spring arrives, and I finally visit a place that I've wanted to see since I was nine years old - the world's largest tank and armoured fighting vehicle museum! Have a gander... |
MARCH. Bit of a social month this one, and one which made us realise that we really needed to stop putting sleeping-over friends on our kitchen floor! March features a burst of flat-hunting as we decided to look around for a bigger place to live. Oh, and it snowed again. Go here... |

FEBRUARY. Not as cold as we expected, but our visiting Seoul-mate Julie complained about the weather anyway. Which just goes to show that it's not only the English who complain about the weather! See the page... |

JANUARY. Well, it IS always the first month of the year, isn't it? Derek comes up from Plymouth and we do the tourist thing in Bristol...bit late for that, since we've been here almost a year. More here... |
